The House of Representatives Speaker Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila says Nigeria has  to implement “deep cuts” in the country ‘s cost of governance. Gbajabiamila said this on Thursday at the launch of the Medium Term  Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and the Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) on revenue-generating agency considerations.  The House of Representatives Com had arranged it “We have a duty to act with urgent determination to build resources services  necessary to bring millions of our fellow citizens out of poverty,” the legislator said.  “We acknowledge that we can not accomplish these targets using borrowing and funding outside alone.  “And we need to implement drastic cuts in governance costs and boost internal revenue production While reaffirming that revenue-generating organizations have a role to play in helping the nation expand its income base,  he highlighted the “consistent inability to stick to the tax-remittance arrangements that all of these entities have agreed to.”  The Speaker added: “We have credible evidence that in many  circumstances, these obviously needed funds were diverted to wasteful financing Triviality. About the same time , the Government is striving to finance priority ventures for alternative sources.  He said the legislature is sponsored by statute as a vital part of the government  to ensure that the resources of the nation are judiciously used to help the economy.
