Nigerian News Online: Covid-19: 125 new COVID-19 cases confirmed by NCDC
In a Tweet on its account, Thursday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced the new COVID-19 infections in the West African country.
Lagos Province, which was the epicenter of the virus at the beginning of the pandemic, had 37 new cases, the highest number of infections for the day.
In total, according to data from the NCDC, twelve states and the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) of Abuja had new coronavirus cases for the day under study.
Plateau State, FCT-17; Ogun-15; Rivers-10; Benue-7; Kaduna-7; Anambra-5; Oyo-3. Eighteen more cases were also reported.
The following are other states of newly infected individuals: Cross River-2; Ondo-2; Edo-1; and Imo-1.
The latest cases of COVID-19 carry Nigeria’s cumulative infections to 57,849 out of which 49,098 have recovered. 1,102 deaths from the virus have been reported.
